Comenplay.com announces official Media partners

Comenplay.com, the premiere social network for sport announced today their list of partners formed thus far. The social network created for sports enthusiasts has been making good progress since their recent launch

Comenplay.com is a network for sport recently launched in the UK. The site brings together individuals, teams, clubs, coaches and associations with the central objective of encouraging physical activity. The start up was designed and developed by Asif Qasim - a practicing cardiologist with a passion for sport.

The product offering is two tiered and truly unique. For sports clubs and organizations, it provides a platform that gives clubs their own members’ network as well as free promotion. Any club or association thinking about redeveloping their website should seriously consider the comenplay option where they have free, flexible web facilities and member networks which they can manage and control.

For individuals it means being part of a network dedicated to a common interest. The product itself is a very functional and relevant one. Members can easily interact with one another, and search by sport, time or location. The site currently has 30,000 users per month and the numbers are on the increase.

August marks the network’s announcement of their official partners. The team behind the comenplay.com has been hard at work in formulating strategic partnerships with some major sporting bodies and corporations. These include Sports England, Physioroom.com, Team Modena, British Military Fitness, and Travel Leads.

Sports England, the Government agency responsible for advising, investing in and promoting community sport to create an active nation, has set up 49 County Sports Partnerships to coordinate community networks and promote sport. Through using the comenplay platform, each will have their own network, which can be used to connect to local cubs, facilities, teams, press and the public. This will be a huge aid in achieving their goal of getting 2 million people more active in sport by 2012 – and making sure that participation is sustained.

The Team Modena Racing team has also partnered up with the network. The Team Modena Aston Martin DBR9 bore comenplay.com logos for the first time at Sebring, Florida(17th March), and then in June at the Le Mans 24 Hour – the most famous car race in the world.

Team Modena Director Rik Bryan, formerly a long distance runner, added “I run and cycle regularly, and have a daily exercise routine that I can perform wherever I am. Comenplay gives fantastic support and encouragement to everyone to play more sport and be more active”.

"Comenplay.com has a positive and inclusive message," says Dr Asif Qasim, founder of comenplay, "encouraging people to play more sport and be more active. We are delighted that Team Modena are helping us to promote this."

Comenplay.com is one to keep an eye on, and is rapidly becoming the place to find information on local sports clubs and facilities. Rest assured that this network is no attempt to capitalize on a currently hot media topic. It is a very user friendly and useful resource, backed by great ideals and the goal of generating increased levels of activity through connecting sports men and women.
